BYD, one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle manufacturers globally, has officially launched the Sealion 7 in India at the 2025 Auto Expo. The Chinese automaker introduced the Sealion 7 within a year of its global debut, expanding its lineup in the Indian market.

The Sealion 7 bears a strong resemblance to the Seal sedan, featuring similar headlamps and a connected tail-lamp setup. However, it stands out with a more aggressive front and rear bumper design, emphasizing its sporty appeal. Inside, the SUV retains key elements from the Seal sedan, including a large 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen—a signature feature in BYD models—along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The front seats offer heating and ventilation functions, and both are electrically adjustable for enhanced comfort.

In terms of safety, the Sealion 7 is equipped with 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and front and rear parking sensors. It also features Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including rear collision warning and adaptive cruise control. BYD has officially opened bookings for the Sealion 7 at EVM BYD Southcoast, making it a compelling choice for EV buyers.
