BYD officially launched the Seal in the Indian market last year, and it has been a resounding success, with over 1,300 units sold. Now, the company has introduced the 2025 model year (MY) of the Seal in India, featuring thoughtful updates based on customer feedback.

One of the key additions is a powered sunshade, now standard across all variants. Previously offered as an optional accessory, this feature helps keep the cabin cooler, especially after prolonged exposure to the sun. Another major update is the inclusion of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all variants, enhancing convenience for users.

Further improvements include an upgraded air conditioning and purification system, designed to deliver significantly better cooling performance than before. On the mechanical front, the mid-level variant now benefits from Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD), a feature previously exclusive to the top-end variant. This addition enhances ride quality, allowing customers to choose settings based on driving conditions.

The top-end variant now boasts the advanced DiSus-C damping system, which adjusts suspension stiffness in real time to optimize ride comfort and handling. It softens the suspension for bumpy roads while providing better stability during cornering, acceleration, and braking.

The BYD Seal has two battery pack options: 61.4 kWh and 82.56 kWh. The performance figures are impressive, with a maximum power output of 523 hp and 670 Nm of torque. The claimed driving range extends up to 650 km on a single charge. Bookings for the 2025 BYD Seal are officially open with a token amount of Rs. 1.25 lakh. Customers can reserve their Seal at BYD EVM Southcoast showrooms in Kochi, Trivandrum, and Calicut.
